Mission Log - Star Date 02252020
After creating this fragile shell, I set up a small camp under the stars to enjoy this rare beautiful night on an alien world
…the calm didn’t last long…
For 6 cycles the storm returned and raged on, I live a solitary life, but I require my space, and this storm allowed for neither planetary exploration nor my freedom among the stars.
The fragile shell I had crafted took only a single day to reach maturity, I spent the following 5 days contemplating it’s future…
Wondering what exactly I am questing to build…
Shortly after making my way back out into the freedom of space, I was hailed once more by this inexplicable creature.
The communication remained basic, but had become more easy to understand.
It spoke of another nearby system, this time, far more obscure, far more anomalous in this increasingly bizarre expanse.
Of course… I made my calculations and set my navigation systems immediately…
Greeted by a largely friendly reminder that I am deep in Korvax space as I entered the system.
The Korvax are not what I would call allies as such, not in the traditional sense, but they don’t bother me and I don’t bother them… unless I have some nifty tech they may be interested in trade for of course.
A beautiful paradise marble is what the station here orbits, and while I can guarantee that is not why the Korvax chose this planet to park by…
I do envy them a little.
Once again, I find myself on an alien world…
A particularly peculiar alien world, with luminous mushrooms, and an oddly lush-yet-barren-at-the-same-time landscape, that I must track down some alien signal on, that Voidy guides me to.
Voidy Tip!
When searching a planet for a Lat/Long coordinate, it is best practice to first look for the second of the 2 coordinates, in this example (-16, -96) this would be the -96.
For this you should either travel what you perceive to be East or West.
Doing this, leaves the first coordinate (-16) to be refined using the North and South markers, which is far more precise and will not result in you drifting off course and requiring you to redo the other coord.
Lining your starship up and then performing atmosphere jumps to more quickly get around the planet speeds things up immeasurably.
Also, staying very high (just under the line where you cross from the planet into space), will result in far faster flying speeds while still being able to see the Lat/Long of your current position.
As if I was getting used to this hustle, It didn’t take me too long at all to find what I was looking for…
…but this…
…this surprised me…
As with the former ancient Korvax monuments, this too communicated telepathically, and instructed me to craft something.
Seeds of Glass.
And I’ll need an Animus Beam to do it-
I must say, this is some strange technology.
From what the anomalous structure communicated, it somehow inscribes delta waves into a crystalline based storage medium.
These “Fragmented Qualia” are then used in part to construct these seeds of glass…
…what am I constructing?
Magnetised Ferrite is a particularly easy thing to obtain, as with a number of other such refined resources, I keep a supply in my ship for use in repairs.
The Fragmented Qualia, however, I must first construct the Animus Beam attachment for my multi-tool.
It’s concerning how something so terrifyingly powerful that can steal the experiences of a living being during it’s destruction, can be crafted so quickly, easily and cheaply…
Ancient Korvax concern me, I’m surprised anything but them still exist…
A curious creature, made of light, something I have never seen before…
…it is truly beautiful, seemingly peaceful, or at least oblivious to my incursion…

Sitting before the emotionless construct, I craft the remnants of the recently culled into the Seeds of Glass it requested.
In response, It spit out another part…
A singularity?
To the best of my knowledge… I’m no rocket surgeon after all… this should be something exceptionally powerful, something that can cause immense actions, with a size and perceived scope that deceives.

Makes you wonder more about these ancient Korvax, right? I hope they don’t turn out to be the “new” bad guys, I quite enjoy the stigma of First Spawn, lol. This was great man. Good flow too.
