After heading out from the Nexus with my Void Egg on board.

I pulsed for a bit and was hailed by a very cool and funky looking alien lifeform.

I next headed to a nearby system that the lifeform had suggested.

It was then my Void Egg became more active, flooding my mind with visions of a mono-chromatic world with bizarre looking giant flora.

Entering the atmosphere of this strange planet, the egg telepathically relayed a vague lat/long position on the planet.

As I got closer, the coordinates became more and more accurate until an Ancient alien plaque of Korvax descent was found.

Voidy Tip!

When searching a planet for a Lat/Long coordinate, it is best practice to first look for the second of the 2 coordinates, in this example (-16, -96) this would be the -96.

For this you should either travel what you perceive to be East or West.

Doing this, leaves the first coordinate (-16) to be refined using the North and South markers, which is far more precise and will not result in you drifting off course and requiring you to redo the other coord.

Lining your starship up and then performing atmosphere jumps to more quickly get around the planet speeds things up immeasurably.

Also, staying very high (just under the line where you cross from the planet into space), will result in far faster flying speeds while still being able to see the Lat/Long of your current position.

The Korvax monolith spoke to me and requested an item to perform some function that still now remains quite the mystery.

Nevertheless, I decided to comply and set off in order to craft this item.

First stop was a crashed freighter, where I was able to retrieve some Hexite, which was incredibly convenient.

… for me that is, less so for the crew…

Next was a Manufacturing Facility.

Luckily, I had a chart with the location of one such place in this system, Sentinels congregate around these buildings and get very annoyed calling for backup if you damage the property, so I caused a ruckus and got myself some Pugneum in the process.

Lastly was the Korvax Casing.

As luck would have it, I was in a Korvax system, so I made my way to a Trading Post in the system that I located with my Economy Scanner (great piece of tech that).

I purchased a casing from a Korvax trader who landed and then proceeded to craft the item the ancient monument had requested.

Making my way back to the monument was easy as pie as it called out to my ship, acting as a beacon for some pretty swish homing.

Upon returning, I handed over the newly crafted device.

The monument bestowed upon to me a very Fragile Neural Stem.

It appears I will have to be exceptionally careful with this while it matures over the next… say… 22 hours or so?

It’s an eerie, yet quite calming world, the local fauna has also currently not caused me any issue.

To be safe, I decided to bed down for the night in my ship, next to the monument.
